 The requester has confirmed that those security fixes will not be required to catch this stable tag 202302. So, we will start hard feature freeze now until Mar 3th (202302 stable tag will be created). I will send the announce mail soon.

Hi, all

 There are the request to include several security fixes in this stable tag 202302. So, Hard feature freeze will be defer to the early of March. Now, we are still in soft feature freeze phase. If you have the patch set for this stable tag, please raise your request in this mail thread.

Hi, all

 So far, below four patches are requested to catch this stable tag 202302. If any one is missed, please reply the mail to mention it. I summary their current status. Only two patches are required to be resolved for new stable tag 202302. So, I would propose Hard Feature Freeze from Feb 20th (next Monday) to Mar 3th (202302 stable tag will be created). If these two patches pass code review before Hard Feature Freeze, they will be merged for this stable tag. Otherwise, they will be for next stable tag.

 

1.        BaseTools: Update WindowsVsToolChain plugin (https://edk2.groups.io/g/devel/message/100215)

[Liming] This patch passed reviewed before the soft feature freeze. It can be merged.

2.        Add support for RISC-V virt machine (https://edk2.groups.io/g/devel/message/99981)

[Liming] This patch got all review in the soft feature freeze on Feb 10th. If no objection, this patch set can be merged.

3.        Adds AmdSmmCpuFeaturesLib for AMD Family  (https://edk2.groups.io/g/devel/message/100222)

[Liming] This patch is under code review now.

4.        MdeModulePkg: allow PlatformBootManagerLib to use BootNext (https://edk2.groups.io/g/devel/message/100186)

[Liming] This patch is under the discussion now.

5.       Update OpenSSL version to version 1.1.1t to include CVE fix (https://bugzilla.tianocore.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4342)

[Liming] This is a new request. Edk2 patch is not ready, because new openssl version 1.1.1t is just released on Feb 7th. I would like to collect the comments for this new request to catch stable tag 202302.
