Meeting Minutes 2019-11-07 TianoCore Community Meeting (APAC/NAMO)
Community Manager
* Stephano Cetola has moved to a position with the Linux Foundation. Thanks to Stephano for all of his work supporting and growing the TianoCore community.
* Brian Richardson (Intel) is temporarily serving as community manager, covering public facing items (community meetings, events). Thanks to other community members for help covering bug triage and design meetings.
* There is a plan to bring on a new community manager in a few months.
* Brian will update calendar invites for future meetings.
FOSDEM - Feb 1-2, 2020 in Brussels.
* Large open source firmware conference in Europe (~8,000 attendees).
* First year there is a dedicated 'open source firmware' track room. Covers topics like EDK II, coreboot, LinuxBoot, u-boot, and OpenBMC.
* Track room runs on Saturday (Feb 1). Should be a dozen 20 minute presentation slots available.
* CFP for firmware room closes December 1st.

UEFI SCT - UTWG is looking for contributors. Plans to integrate UEFI SCT into CI system, but not as many resources working on the project at this time.
TianoCore CI Process
* v4 patch series is under review. Maintainers will need to review before it is active on edk2 master. Uses pull request instead of direct push to trigger CI.
* Please use labeling properly (don't set 'push' label for personal build). Push label causes changes to be pushed if all tests pass.
* Once CI is active and tested (1-2 weeks), write access on the CI repos will be restricted to admins.
Code First Process - under discussion in stewards meetings
* Goal is a process to develop proposals for future UEFI spec improvements in open source prior to submission to the UEFI Forum.
* Repo for development - edk2-staging is preferred. Need to identify/filter 'code first' branches.
* Naming convention will be important to distinguish pre-spec implementations.
* Next Steps: RFC for code first process (under development).
Linux Line Endings - still in plan, after next stable tag. Contributors should raise issues early. A 'converted fork' can be used for community testing.
Thanks ... br
